Irrigation System Is On

The system is on and operational. If you aren't receiving water please let us know.

As many of you are aware our irrigation pump system has given us some problems again this year. The main pump and one of the smaller pumps had to be replaced. The smaller pump was replaced under warranty.

The board will be evaluating some long term planning for our pumps to try and minimize problems and expenses as best we can.

One of the 2 filters if currently offline. It has a hole in its metal housing we are attempting to have fixed. The water may not be as clean with only one filter operating.

Thanks for your patience.

Water Update

I just stopped and talked to the pump guys.

They are working to get one pump up and working for the weekend. It will give some limited supply. Tell people to be conservative.

The big problem is that 2 of the pumps need to be replaced. The large 15 horse pump and one of the smaller 3 horse pumps are both dead. If the pumps are in stock at a local supply house they will get them installed the 1st part of next week. The 3 horse pump may be under warranty for the pump not any labor. They will check on it.

He also explained we need to make plans to replace a control box called the VFD. This box controls the 3 pumps and the pressure in our system. This allows our pumps to put out more or less water, depending on what is being used by the residence. He believes it is on its last leg.

They didn’t have pricing for the new pumps. I believe the board has received quotes in the past so it should be close to those costs.

We also need to do some long term planning for the next 5 to 7 years and make some plans for next time pumps will need to be replaced.
